Hello, I'm Pastor Randy Strickland
Welcome to Conway United Methodist Church! We are so glad that you have chosen
to visit our website and hope that you find it especially helpful. Feel free to

 various ministries listed and if at any time you want more

I am one of the pastors, along with Ken Davison, of this 133+ year old
congregation that is long on history but not short on love. In its long
tradition, Conway has come to represent a
family where people can find friends,
support, a way to serve God and an opportunity to experience faith. In
this
time of change, deepening commitment and ascertaining and following God's
purposes, Conway stands on the brink of touching the community for Christ in new
and redeeming ways.I
personally invite you to attend our services each Sunday: a traditional service
at 8:30 am, Sunday School for all ages at 9:45 am and a contemporary service at 11:00
am.

Personal Profile:
- Graduate Candler School of Theology at Emory University with Master in
Divinity Degree
- Graduate from St. Thomas University with a Master of Science Degree in
Marriage and Family Therapy
- Rev. Randy and his wife Carolyn are proud grandparents of three girls and
one boy.

Church Activities:
- Minister in Florida Conference since 1976
- Assigned to Conway UMC in June of 2002
- Served churches in both Central and South Florida
Professional Vision:
- Rev. Randy says, "I want to work myself out of a job by enabling lay persons
to live out their faith in service to Christ as active participants in God's
Kingdom".

We will have two mission trips to Costa Rica.
|
|
We will be reaching out with God's love to the numerous groups
and persons who meet in our facilities daily.
|
|
We will be directly addressing the spiritual and emotional
needs of our congregation and community in areas like marriage enrichment and
bereavement.
|
|
These activities in Missions, Evangelism and Discipleship along
with our Youth Ministry will be the focal points of putting into practice the faith in God that
we preach. |
