Greetings all!  My name is Kholter Hunt and I am the new Student Minister here at Conway UMC.

Sherri and I moved here from Oklahoma almost 2 years ago and feel very blessed to be here in Florida. Sherri is pregnant with our first child so I’ll have a "mini me" running around sometime in October.

I am so excited about being a part of this family. I truly believe that God has called me to this church.

Sherri and I embarked on a journey when we moved to Florida.  The latest part of that journey brought us to Conway.  Conway UMC, in my mind, represents a new beginning for us. It is a new chapter in our life that I know God is a part of. The students here will be a part of that journey and I know the people of Conway UMC will too.

My hope is that we can help this church embark on a new journey as well. This journey will be a journey of renewal and restoration, a journey that brings us, as a group of believers, closer to God. It is important to start this journey because it will lay the foundation for the future of Conway UMC.  I don’t know about you, but to me that is exciting!

I grew up in the United Methodist Church and have been a part of different UM churches and some non-denominational churches. I feel that God is going to use this church to make a difference in our denomination and to the people outside of our church that need real restoration in their life. I truly believe that God is going to use this church for that restoration. So it excites me to see where God is moving and I hope you feel that too!

I’d love the chance to get to know you better. If you have time during the day I’d love to meet you. My office is always open and free for anyone to come by and say hi! Or if you just want to talk on the phone that would fine too!

Friday:                  10-4pm

Please call before you come so I know to clean my office before you get here! I almost always have a fresh pot of coffee so if you want a good ‘cup of joe’ bring you coffee cup!
