Conway Young at Heart activities are designed for adults 50 and over.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for fellowship, learning, service,
support and spiritual growth. We meet at 12 noon the third Thursday of
every month except July, August and December. We do not meet at all in
July and August, but meet in December on the second Thursday. We have
a potluck luncheon (don't bring a dessert unless asked to do so) and a have a
program or games after the potluck luncheon. Our programs are interesting
and different each month.
Our group is very active and enjoys day trips, the theater
and one multi-day trip each year. Our trips are open to everyone,
regardless of age or where you attend church. Watch the Conway Carillon
for all information.
We are actively participating in the
Interfaith Hospitality
Network providing food. We provide refreshments for the Sunday morning fellowship time.
Everyone who is young at heart is welcome to join our group and are not required
to belong to Conway United Methodist Church. Our welcome mat is out to the
community. All of our activities take place or begin in Conway's Family
Life Center.
As an example of what we do, we are going to see the play,
"Driving Daisy" at the Plaza Theatre in March. We will be touring
Savannah, Jekyll Island, and Beaufort in May. And we are heading to
California in August.
