Stories of the Faith
Beginning
Sunday, September 5, 2010, Rev. Strickland will begin preaching on
stories from the Old Testament that are fundamental to our Christianity.
In keeping with our Five-Year Plan, and our
emphasis in this first year, Foundations, we will look together at how
Biblical figures dealt with real issues of faith in their lives.
The really special part of this series is that it will
be a coordinated effort together with our Adult Sunday School classes. Utilizing
the sermon as a background, the classes will engage in a more in-depth look at
the Scripture passages experienced in worship. While not repeating the same
material, our skilled teachers will give you a new peek at stories that you
thought were already familiar!
Your part — everyone, and we do mean everyone,
is urged and invited to take this opportunity to attend one of the Sunday School
classes to gain the full impact of this experience. You will be blessed, and
your encounter with God will be enriched and expanded through these basic,
practical stories of trust in, and devotion to, God. So plan now to be a
part of this special and unique Biblical emphasis!
