We welcome you and will support you as you come to worship God and walk in faith
with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ . There is a place right here for
you.
Join Ken on both Sundays listed above to learn more about Conway
United Methodist Church, the Methodist church, and our ministry opportunities.
Take a spiritual assessment questionnaire and find your gifts—you
might be surprised! Call Ken in the church office at (407) 277-5010 or
e-mail him at

Tony Chance Concert
October 17
7:00 p.m.
Tony Chance will present a worship concert at Conway UMC
Friday night. He has performed in a variety of locations around the world
for over 40 years. He was still a teenager when he began singing at Al
Hirt's place in the French Quarter of New Orleans. He also played and sang
in Las Vegas, London, New York and Florida.
In 1995 Tony answered a different calling when he began the process
of becoming a pastor. After graduating from Duke University Divinity
School, he was commissioned by the United Methodist Church as a pastor in 1998.
Her served as the Pastor Worship and the Arts at Christ Church in Ft. Lauderdale
until his appointment last year as the Senior Pastor of Azalea Park
United Methodist Church in Orlando.
Conway United Methodist Church is delighted to have Pastor Chance
sing for us and our local community on October 17. Be sure to attend!
Pumpkin Patch
Conway's youth will be sponsoring a Pumpkin Patch on the front lawn
of the Sanctuary beginning on October 17 - 31. We will have various sized
pumpkins and gourds to select the perfect one for the toddler, child, teenager,
adult, or entire family.
We will also have an area set up for seasonal photographs.
What a great way to remember this time of year in 2008.
Come out and support our youth and their missions. See you
there!
Billy Graham Retreat Center - The Cover
October 27 - 29
If you are looking to be uplifted, refreshed and renewed spiritually, why not go
the "The Cove." Pastor Randy and Carolyn will be there on
October 27 through the 29th and invite you to meet them there. This is a
wonderful opportunity to feel the Spirit working through you and, at the same
time, get to know others from our church who will attend.
For more information on this wonderful experience, ask Randy or Carolyn about it
when you see them
Help Flood Victims
You can still assist flood victims right here in Central Florida.
Some areas are still flooded, while others are trying to clean up from the mess.
Homes are destroyed and lives changed. Those who have been assisting on
Saturdays have witnessed firsthand the huge undertaking required to repair the damage,
or completely empty a home of all possessions before demolition. This is
an ongoing project with fifty (50) homes that still assistance. Please call Rev. Ken Davison at the church office - (407) 277-5010.
Save those pop tops . . .
Every time you pull back the tab of a can to quench your thirst, save that tab!
Help out families of children who need to utilize the facilities at the Ronald
McDonald House.
The red and white, house-shaped collection box is located at the church office.
All you need to do is save them, then take them to the church office.
That's it!
Did you know that last summer thirteen pounds of pull tabs were collected?
Do a small thing that becomes something much larger! Want more
information? Call the church office at (407) 277-5010 and leave a message
for Carol E.
