DEAF MINISTRIES & CHRISTIAN DEAF SERVICES

Deaf Ministries: Conway UMC is one of the few churches in the Orlando area whose services are interpreted at all Sunday services.  American Sign Language is used.  We also have tactile signing (signing in the hands for deaf/blind).  A class to learn American Sign Language is ongoing and welcomes new participants.  This class also expands into a signing choir that participates with the Chancel Choir in seasonal programs such as the Easter and Christmas cantatas.

There is a Sunday School class for the Deaf taught by Deaf leader, Paul Jones.  Fellowship time starts at 9:45 am and class study begins at 10:00 am.

If you are interested in learning to sign, classes will start on Tuesday, January 5, 2009 and go through March.  Classes are from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm in room 102 and 103 of the Family Life Center.
